Led by Silent Hill, Siren, and Gravity Rush creator Keiichiro Toyama, indie developer Bokeh Game Studio naturally has plenty of eyes on it, and its first project – action horror title Slitterhead – certainly turned a few heads when it was first unveieled in late 2021. Since then, we’ve seen little to nothing of the game (barring some concept art earlier this year), though the developer has now released a new dev diary that remedies that (to some extent).
Focusing on user tests and how they’ve been used to help the development process, the dev diary showcases some brief glimpses of early pre-alpha gameplay footage. In addition to showing some locations, the video also contains footage of combat, which blends melee action, ranged weapons, and supernatural abilities, with enemies coming in the form of a variety of different monsters. The dev diary also showcases a section where the player seems to be in control of a dog. Check out the full video below.
Bokeh Game Studio has yet to announce a release date or target platforms for Slitterhead. Stay tuned for more updates on the game in the coming weeks and months.
