Listening to the fans, NetEase has announced that players will now be able to turn their excess Chrono Tokens into units. Despite the game's massive success since launch, it's not all been smooth sailing, and one of the many concern points for players has been over the game's Battle Pass currency, Chrono Tokens.
While currently useless if players have already redeemed everything possible, NetEase has now announced a big change to. Moving forward, if players purchase the Luxury Battle Pass and redeem all its rewards, they'll be able to turn the leftover tokens into units. As the paid currency in, this is incredibly generous for players to now earn paid skins for free. Explaining the change in a dev video, creative director Guangguang, said:
«We've heard your feedback about excess Chrono Tokens and how frustrating it can be when they don't carry over. So we're excited to announce a brand-new redemption system! Now you can convert those excess Chrono Tokens into Units. If you purchase the Luxury Battle Pass and redeem all its rewards, you'll be able to convert any leftover Chrono Tokens for units at a specific ratio.
We want to make sure that your gaming experience is marvellous, and that you never feel like you aren't rewarded for your efforts!»
At present, players can earn Chrono Tokens to unlock cosmetic items in the battle pass. Once completed, however, these tokens continue to amass before expiring into the next season, leaving many disappointed to miss out on using them up. Now, players will be able to convert their leftovers into units at a fixed rate after completing the Premium Battle Pass, allowing them to save up for other in-game items or future battle passes with this alternative currency.
