Magic: The Gathering’s upcoming The Lost Caverns Of Ixalan set is getting its own Universes Beyond tie-in, with none other than Jurassic Park.
Celebrating 30 years of both Magic and Jurassic Park, the crossover will include mechanically unique cards based on the movies, and will be found in both Set and Collectors boosters.

Announced at Magic’s 30th Anniversary Gen Con panel, Welcome To: Jurassic World is a bonus sheet that will be found both in Collector boosters, and as part of The List, which is found in 25 percent of Set boosters. While we haven’t seen any cards from this partnership yet, it has already been confirmed via the official Magic Twitter that the cards will be mechanically unique.
This is a similar scheme to what we saw last year with The Brothers’ War and its tie-in with Transformers. It’s not a complete Universes Beyond crossover like Lord of the Rings or the also-announced Fallout Commander decks, but more a set of 18 cards that are thematically tied in with the set they come in. For The Brothers’ War and Transformers, it was giant mechs, for Ixalan and Jurassic Park it is, of course, dinosaurs.
It won’t just be those 18 cards, though, as there will also be multiple Secret Lair drops based on Jurassic Park. These will likely be coming in the final Secret Lair superdrop of the year, scheduled to be available for preorders around the same time as The Lost Caverns of Ixalan’s launch.
