The Pokémon World Championships are taking place this weekend from Yokohama, Japan.
All weekend, the world’s best players will be battling it out in Pokémon video game, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Trading Card Game tournaments.
The show will kick off on Friday morning Japan time, which is 1 AM BST Thursday night/Friday morning. If you can’t stay up to watch the action, all of the events from the show will be archived on the various official Pokemon channels.
Across the events, there is over $1,000,000 in prizes to be won. To be invited to the 2023 Pokémon World Championship, players had to earn hundreds of points at events throughout the year, meaning this event, which is taking place in Japan for the first time ever, will only feature the very best players.
