Two thieves at Gen Con 2023 have allegedly stolen a pallet that contained more than $300,000 worth of Trading Card Games, although it's been confirmed by Ravensburger that Disney Lorcana was unaffected.
Gen Con 2023 is happening right now at the Indiana Convention Center and with it brings the first chance for many tabletop players to get their hands on Disney Lorcana, Ravensburger's upcoming tabletop game that we at TheGamer have been covering inside and out since it was first revealed last year. Although Lorcana's first major appearance should have been enough to make Gen Con 2023 an exciting time for anyone attending, it looks like some were trying to get a lot more out of it than that.

As reported by Dicebreaker, at least two thieves have allegedly stolen a whole pallet's worth of TCG cards from Gen Con, with their value currently estimated to be at more than $300,000. Images of the two thieves have since been shared on Twitter by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, who seek the public's help in identifying the two people seemingly involved in the heist.
The tweet reads, "IMPD detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying two people of interest possibly involved in a theft of upwards to $300,000 worth of gaming cards."
The images of the alleged thieves appear to show them carrying the pallet of "gaming cards" before any of the booths have been set up at Gen Con, likely meaning that it happened early in the morning before exhibitors could catch them in the act. The IMPD has since clarified that the cards have been moved to an unknown location and have not yet been found.
