Developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K have announced a new game in the NBA 2K franchise. Aptly dubbed NBA 2K24, the game will be making its way on to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 8.
Alongside announcing the game itself, 2K has also revealed that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will feature cross-platform multiplayer. Unfortunately, it looks like the PC release is being left out of crossplay, instead focusing entirely on current-gen consoles. Check out the crossplay trailer below.
NBA 2K24 will be feature Kobe Bryant as its cover athlete. Bryant, who has a number of accolades under his belt, including 18-time All-Star, 5-time NBA Champion, and 2-time Finals MVP, among many others, will be on the cover of the game’s Kobe Bryant Edition and its Black Mamba Edition. The game will also be available in a special WNBA Edition in the US and Canada, featuring Sabrina Ionescu as its cover star.
NBA 2K24‘s Kobe Bryant edition, priced at $69.99 on current-gen and $59.99 on other platforms, will include just the game. Going higher up the tiers brings in more bonuses, like a host of in-game cosmetics and skill boosts in the $99.99 Black Mamba edition, and more features in the 25th Anniversary edition, priced at $149.99.
