We already know that next week’s Capcom Showcase will include the recently announced Dragon’s Dogma 2, but now the game’s appeared on the PS Store, and you can wishlist it if you want to. This indicates to us that some kind of release date may be imminent, with pre-orders presumably also incoming – all will be revealed during the Japanese publisher’s livestream, we suspect.
While we’d be surprised if the title launched later this year, an early 2024 target doesn’t seem out of the question, potentially setting up another blockbuster period for new releases with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth already confirmed to occupy a similar slot. The trailer shown at the PlayStation showcase indicated that they are very far into development with this game, so it would definitely be realistic to expect it within the next 12 months.
I really hope their next showcase has the next Monster Hunter for current gen and hopefully Pragmata. We haven't heard or seen anything of that game since its delay.
