Disclaimers About This Tier ListTier lists can be very controversial, as no one wants to see their favorite spec rank poorly and because no two raid teams are optimizing for exactly the same thing when it comes to their class composition. For this reason, it is simply impossible to come up with a truly universal class ranking that is applicable for all raiding environments, so this list is deliberately narrow in scope based on the following criteria:
Classes will be ranked assuming that the group is optimizing primarily for killing Trial of the Crusader bosses as quickly and efficiently as possible. Compared to Ulduar Hard Modes, which offered a meaty challenge for most Classic guilds to progress through over several months, Trial of the Crusader is considerably easier even on 25-man Heroic difficulty, due to a combination of the boss tuning being much more lenient overall plus the hugely inflated player power level going into the phase from the item level buffs that were applied to Phase 2 gear. As a result, most reasonably competent guilds are expected to have Trial of the Crusader on farm within the first few weeks of Phase 3, and the primary avenue of skill expression in the phase will be boss kill times.
