A new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom mod that is now available for download introduces some welcome tweaks over a previous similar mod that make the game more fun to play in first-person view.
The new mod, which can be downloaded by going here, comes with some advanced features not found in the mod released last month, such as different field of view settings for small, regular, and ultrawide screens and the over-the-shoulder camera when locked onto any enemy which makes combat way more manageable and fun in first person view. A video showcasing the mod and its features in action can be found below.
While the many mods released for the game have made playing it on PC via the Yuzu and Ryinjinx emulators the best way to experience the latest entry in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a game that is more than worthy of most players' time, no matter the format, as highlighted by Nathan in his review.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sticks closely to the blueprint established by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but it’s a richer, more rewarding game in most ways that count, offering a more intricate world, versatile suite of abilities, epic story, and satisfying dungeons. The familiarity of this Hyrule and a handful of frustrating sections keep Tears of the Kingdom from feeling quite as surprising and magical as its predecessor, but make no mistake, the wait has been worth it. While it probably behooves Nintendo to carve out an entirely new Legend next, Link’s latest should fill most fans’ heart meters nicely in the meantime.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
