Apple is working on a wide range of products that will launch in the coming months. As per the reported roadmap shared by Mark Gurman, the company is working on new Apple Watch models, including the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra, OLED iPad Pro, iPad Air with upgraded internals, and much more. While some products will launch later this year in the fall alongside the new iPhone 15 lineup, others are slated to arrive sometime next year.
The iPad Pro models are due for an upgrade and we are expecting major changes in terms of display technology and performance capabilities. Henceforth, we can safely presume that the OLED iPad Pro would be worth upgrading to. Mark Gurman states in his latest Power On newsletter that the company has planned the launch to take place in 2024. It was previously reported that Apple will ship the new iPad Pro models with an OLED display, Currently, the company offers a mini-LED display on the bigger 12.9-inch model of the iPad Pro while the standard model features an LCD panel. The mini-LED display is superior to the LCD but it still lacks some of the benefits of the OLED panel. For instance, OLED panels are more power efficient and color accurate compared to the mini-LED display. We have also heard that the company will offer OLED technology on both sizes of the iPad Pro.
The company is also expected to launch a bigger 14-inch version of the iPad Pro with an OLED display and a flagship-grade processor.
