Whimsyshire's Revenge - Ponies Taking Over Sanctuary
No one can forget their first visit to Whimsyshire in Diablo 3 — a magical place, full of vibrant colors, pastel teddy bears, unicorns, and bloodthirsty creatures attempting to rip you limb from limb and feast on your entrails. Nothing in Diablo is safe, no matter how cute, and as a result many players have a rather visceral reaction when reminded of ponies in their dark ARPG.
The spirit of Whimsyshire is back with a vengeance in Diablo 4, however — players are reporting a hilarious discovery that is flooding places with ponies for screenshots! Image courtesy of u/zer0ag3nt Users u/zer0ag3nt and u/Senorragequit both posted Reddit threads documenting this find — when you have a mount in your inventory, and drop it onto the ground (or, dare we say, put it out to pasture?), the model for the mount is a miniaturized, standing pony.
