A leaker who previously shared information about Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica before they were announced has claimed that Persona 6's codename is "Carbon" and that they've only seen it running on a PS5 so far.
It's been an exciting couple of months for Persona fans thanks to the leaking and subsequent announcements of Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, and Atlus' new fantasy RPG, Metaphor ReFantazio. As great as those two reveals were, most fans are still keeping one hopeful eye open for news on the sixth mainline entry in the series, which has been rumoured for some time but has yet to be officially announced by Sega.

While Atlus seemingly isn't ready to pull back the curtain on the next big Persona game, that hasn't stopped details on it being leaked out. Earlier today, Twitter user MbKKssTBhz5, who previously shared information on Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica before they were officially revealed, has shared a thread of new leaks for Persona 6 that give us a good idea of how the project is shaping up.
The first thing that MbKKssTBhz5 claims is that the next game in the series is going to be rather different from the rest because it's being developed by a team that's mostly new to the series. They also claim that the best description for Persona 6 is that it's "P3RE and spin-offs come together", as the team on Reload and the spin-offs are also working on the next big game.
That might ring alarm bells for some Persona fans, but MbKKssTBhz5 later clarified that they were referring to the presentation, which still sounds a bit confusing. According to them, Persona 6 is following a new development structure for Atlus that started with Persona 3
