India Hero Project Game Fishbowl Now Has a Free Demo Available on PS5 | Push Square
Fishbowl is one of the indie games highlighted by Sony in its India Hero Project program, and you can now play a portion of it with a free playable demo. Available on PS5 now via the PS Store, this demo allows you to play one in-game day in this slice-of-life adventure, which takes place over the course of one month.
The game centres around Alo, a character who's recently moved into a place of her own to start a new, work-from-home job. Set in urban India, the game is about experiencing Alo's everyday life as she works at her computer, interacts with friends and family on her phone, and carries out household chores.
Things get a little weird when a package arrives from her old home; Alo begins having strange dreams that dredge up uncomfortable old memories. The game appears to have a melancholic tone that reflects on themes of self-discovery and grief. It also features multiple endings, and the one you get will depend on your choices throughout the journey.
The above trailer puts us in mind of Unpacking, too, which has similar ideas about nostalgia and possessions carrying meaning. There appear to be various gameplay systems to toy with here, so we're curious to try out the demo and see how it all comes together.
