Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX has been revealed

Yacht Club Games has announced Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX, the definitive and enhanced edition of the original Shovel Knight game. This release introduces new features while also reinstating popular elements from the original, offering a ton of content for both newcomers and old fans players to play through.

Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX introduces a significant update with the addition of 20 playable characters, each with their own unique abilities. Players will be able to experience the original adventure not only as Shovel Knight but also as other characters including the Enchantress, Shield Knight, Plague Knight, and King Knight. Players will be able to team up in both local and online multiplayer too.  A rewind feature has been added to Shovel Knight: Shovel of Knight DX, allowing players to undo mistakes and reattempt failed sections. Save states have been included as well, so the action can be paused to allow players to plan their next moves. Stereoscopic 3D is also in the game.

Classic elements such as the Battle Ghost Arena, Custom Knights, and Challenge Stages are included in Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX. Additionally, the game features over 300 cheats, all of which can be activated at the same time to mix up the gameplay significantly. For instance, players can choose to play as a colossal Shovel Knight who destroys enemies with increased powers.

Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX was not the only announcement that Yacht Club Games made. The developer also announced free DLC for Shovel Knight Dig called Wicked Wishes, and the Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon Paradox Pack DLC, which will also be released for free. Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon PC mod support has been added, and new playable characters including the Enchantress.
