Forza Motorsport's upcoming Update 4 will add Daytona International Speedway to the game, among other new cars and a new career tour. Capping off a solid 2023 for Xbox in terms of first-party game releases, Forza Motorsport launched in October to positive reception and will serve as a platform for ongoing updates for years to come.
As it's been six years since Forza Motorsport 7's launch in 2017, sim racing fans have been looking forward to Forza Motorsport (2023) for quite some time, with two critically adored Forza Horizon titles providing some arcade racing fun in between. As an ongoing platform title, Forza Motorsport launched with just enough cars and tracks to satisfy longtime fans, with the promise of steadily adding even more content in the future. Shortly after launch, Motorsport went on to win Innovation in Accessibility and Best Sports/Racing Game at The Game Awards 2023.
Now, with Update 4 on the horizon next week, developer Turn 10 Studios has announced that one of racing's most iconic tracks is set to make its debut in Forza Motorsport. Daytona International Speedway, home of the Daytona 500, and one of the biggest stadiums in America, will be added as part of Update 4 on January 16. Forza Motorsport players will be able to burn rubber on two Daytona circuits: a 3.59-mile sports car circuit, and a shorter 2.5-mile tri-oval-shaped track. Turn 10 is also adding a Daytona Sports Car featured multiplayer series for players looking to further immerse themselves in the Daytona experience.
