After a mysterious new website was found, and a blurry image of a man squatting with two pistols was leaked, it seems pretty likely Call of Duty is gearing up to announce Black Ops 6.
We've yet to hear anything concrete about the next Call of Duty game, apart from the fact that it will be launching on Xbox Game Pass, but it now seems like Activision Blizzard is gearing up for a big announcement. First spotted by CharlieIntel and shared on Twitter, a new website was recently found which includes a mysterious new trailer playing on an old CRTV.
The footage is, unfortunately, rather brief and not that enlightening, showing us a team of people running around and scaling cliffs in the dead of night. It then cuts to the next morning to reveal that the team from the previous night had actually blindfolded the heads of Mount Rushmore, having spray-painted the words "The Truth Lies" and what appears to be a wolf logo onto the blindfolds.
Shortly after the website was found, another possible hint that Black Ops 6 may be revealed soon was shared by reliable industry insider billbil-kun, who has regularly shared PlayStation Plus lineups ahead of schedule and even leaked PlayStation's recently announced Until Dawn remake. While it's much less to go off of, billbil-kun shared a blurry screenshot of a soldier crouched down holding two pistols, a pose which is very similar to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops cover art.
While we don't have any confirmed information about Call of Duty 2024 being Black Ops 6 just yet, it feels pretty much nailed on at this point. Thankfully, we don't have to wait too much longer to find out, as Xbox recently teased that it will be hosting a special direct for Call of Duty following the publisher's showcase on June 9. Chances are, we'll get our full reveal there.
