Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct offered up plenty of exciting announcements and trailers for games like Metroid Prime 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, but one of the under-the-radar exciting titles was Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. A compilation of Capcom’s various Marvel crossover fighting games and brawlers like X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and 2, and X-Men: Children of the Atom, the game is coming to PC, PS4, Switch, and… not Xbox. It may be the case that getting MT Framework games on Xbox is just difficult enough that Capcom doesn’t bother with lower-profile, lower-effort releases. Capcom’s Ace Attorney collections are, in fact, full console remakes of former handheld-only titles, while Marvel vs. Capcom is just a classics compilation.
