GKIDS announced the on Thursday, in an announcement outlining a partnership with Riot Games and the hit Netflix series.
The Arcane 4K and Blu-ray release date has been set for October 8, 2024, when the series will be released in both a 4K UHD Steelbook and Standard Steelbook as part of GKIDS and Riot Games’ partnership. The series will also be available on digital download-to-own platforms beginning on September 24, 2024.
The 4K UHD Steelbook will feature a Jinx-themed outer package and include all nine episodes of the first season in three 4K UHD discs, with an additional Blu-ray disc containing over three hours of bonus footage.
The Standard Steelbook comes in a Vi-themed outer package and also includes the same contents as the 4K release, albeit without the episodes in 4K. Bonus features on all physical editions include exclusive conversations with key creative talent and writers, numerous scene breakdowns from the animation staff at studio Fortiche, making of videos, and more.
The partnership between the companies will see GKIDS release a full produce lineup of Arcane-inspired releases, including a very special, very limited Collector’s Edition of the show. The limited Collector’s Edition will come packaged in a clamshell box featuring original artwork and contain all nine episodes in 4K.
This edition also includes a double-sided poster featuring artwork from Piltover’s “Progress Day” with one side defaced by Jinx, six art cards with Powder’s illustrations, Caitlyn Kiramann’s map of Piltover, and an expansive dice set containing a Hexcore-inspired d20 die, seven liquid core resin dice inspired by Hex crystals, a protective pouch and decorative dice box.
The Limited-Run Collector’s Edition of Arcane is set to release on October 22, 2024, and will be available exclusively through the GKIDS and Riot Games stores. The edition is only limited to just 6,500 copies, however, so fans will want to act fast if they want to get their hands on one.
