The U.S. has been set by Neos Corporation, with the holiday adventure game coming to Western markets later this year.
Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town will officially release on PC and Nintendo Switch on October 24, 2024. The game will retail for $29.99 and $39.99 for the Steam and Switch versions, respectively, and will be on sale for $26.99 on PC until November 7, 2024. Originally, the game was originally released in Japan earlier this year.
A bundled version of both Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town and Shin-chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation -The Endless Seven-Day Journey- will also be available later this year. This bundle will include the two games for a discounted price of $39.99 on Steam and $49.99 on Nintendo Switch.

Alongside the game’s release, Limited Run Games is also partnering with Neos Corporation and Nintendo to create a physical version of the Switch edition. This edition will be available to preorder at Limited Run Games’ official website for a limited time later this year. No information on what the physical edition of the game will include.
Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town follows Shin-chan and the Nohara family as they visit the town of Akita. The game also follows Shin-chan’s daily life as he explores the town and goes on an adventure with Shiro through two worlds of reality. Shiro and the Coal Town features activities like fishing, bug catching, and other adventures in the mysterious Coal Town.
