Harry Potter: Magic Awakened was a mobile game published by Warner Bros. Games that has already shut down after just one year of being available to players. This game was a collectible card game made by Zen Studio and launched in June 2023.
However, as of August 26, 2024, the game was removed from both the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store, meaning no one can download the game at all now. However, those who wish to give the game a send-off will still be able to play the game until October 29, 2024, due to servers being kept open until said date. Microtransactions for the game have also been closed so that no one can make any in-game purchases. Despite Warner Bros. Games releasing a statement about the game being closed down, they haven't given any information or reason as to why the game is being shut down in the West.

The app is handled by NetEase over in Asia, with Warner Bros. Games having no involvement in the app over in that part of the world, meaning it is entirely up to NetEase with what they do next with Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.
As expected, those who enjoyed the game did not receive the news well and are already calling on Warner Bros. Games to refund them for any microtransactions they may have made, as well as attempting to petition NetEase into being handed the reigns for the game so that they can publish it in the West as well.
Warner Bros. Games has put out an FAQ regarding the closure of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, saying that server transfers are out of the question, and that refunds will additionally not be possible. As well as full closure of the game, the official Discord server associated with the game will also be closed on October 29, 2024, as well as all associated
