Searchlight Pictures has officially announced a new release date for its upcoming comedy drama starring Emmy winner Kieran Culkin and Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg.
“Mismatched cousins David and Benji reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history,” reads the synopsis.
Originally scheduled for an October 18, 2024 release, A Real Pain has been pushed back for two weeks and will arrive in select theaters on November 1, 2024. The film will debut in the same month as high-profile movies, including Tom Hanks’ Here, Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, and Disney’s Moana 2.
A Real Pain is written and directed by Eisenberg, who leads the cast alongside Culkin. Joining them are Will Sharpe (The White Lotus), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing), Kurt Egyiawan (The Exorcist), Liza Sadovy (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), and Daniel Oreskes (Law & Order). It is produced by Emma Stone, Dave McCary, Ali Herting, Jennifer Semler, and Ewa Puszczyńska. This marks the latest collaboration between Eisenberg and Stone, who previously worked together in the Zombieland franchise.
