A Final Fantasy IV high-quality AI movie was recently shared online, and it's so good it could pass for an official adaptation.
(Light spoilers for Final Fantasy IV will be found ahead. Avoid reading if you haven't experienced the first few hours of the game.
The movie, which was created by the same user behind an earlier Final Fantasy VI AI movie, covers the events from the beginning of the game up until Cecil becomes a Paladin, giving viewers a look at some pretty accurate recreations of Cecil, Rosa, Kain, Rydia, Kain, Edward, Tellah, Yang, Palom and Porom. While it is evident even at a glance that it is an AI-created movie, it's still impressive how accurately it depicts characters and events from the classic entry in the Square Enix series.
Unlike the sixth entry in the series, which was only remastered and ported a few times, Final Fantasy IV did get a full 3D remake, originally released on Nintendo DS before being ported to other gaming systems. The 3D remake introduces new gameplay mechanics, CGI cinematics, and voice-acted cutscenes that breathe new life into the classic.
Those looking for a more authentic experience can play the Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster. This remaster is available on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Nintendo Switch, alongside the remasters of the other 2D entries in the series.
