Activision has released a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 trailer showcasing one of the launch maps for Zombies, a mysterious military outpost called Terminus.
The story picks up in the early 1990s, five years after the events of Cold War Zombies, with a number of former members of the CIA-led Requiem team being held prisoner.
One part jail and other part a secret research facility specialising in “weird science”, Terminus is a tropical setting in the Philippine Sea.
“Terminus is one of our biggest round-based maps we’ve ever made and it’s full of experiences to discover and really explore,” according to developer Treyarch.
To help players get around its islands, Terminus includes a drivable vehicle for the first time in round-based Zombies, in the form of a boat called the Tactical Raft.
There’s also a new weapon called the Tentacle Trap, which can be placed over doorways and sucks in those unfortunate enough to pass underneath it when it’s activated.
Activision detailed Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode in a lengthy blog last week.
Notably, for the first time, players can choose to save Solo matches at any time as long as they have full health, aren’t downed, dead, or actively engaged in an exfiltration, and then load their progress at a later time to pick up where they left off.
