Aside from the focus on firearms and integrating some randomly generated environments, the Remnant series sets itself apart from other Soulslikes such as Elden Ring and Lords of the Fallen mainly with its focus on co-op. Both titles encourage you to team up with two friends to fight your way through the mutated monsters that await. After so many years of progress in terms of multiplatform games incorporating full cross-platform support, you might assume Remnant 2 will follow suit and let you make a group with anyone regardless of what platform they’re on. Before you make plans with your squad, here’s what you need to know about Remnant 2′s cross-platform support.
At launch, Remnant 2 lacked any cross-platform functionality, meaning you were forced to only play with those on your specific platform the same way it works with Palworld. However, the developers eventually managed to add full cross-platform support to the game in an update and now you can play with friends no matter what platform they are on.
If you’re not friends with someone and just using Quickplay, however, things are a bit more limited. Using this method of matchmaking, console players will be limited to only PS5 and Xbox Series X/S crossplay, and PC isolated on its own. If you want to make sure you can play with anyone, just make sure to add them as a friend first.
