While Delves can be completed solo, they are currently scaled to be infinitely easier in a group!
Delves currently drop some of the best loot in the game, and many players have started to work their way up. While some classes and roles (i.e. Tanks) will handle solo Delves than others, Group Delves and so much easier and efficient in a group! If you can find some friends or a group in LFG, this will make your Delve experience more enjoyable.
Many players were excited for Delves to be good solo gameplay, many players have been frustrated that solo Delves are so much more difficult than with a group. Here are some of the reasons why Delves are so much easier in a group.
The health scaling in group Delves causes mobs to have their scale much slower than Solo Delves. On a Tier 8, Fungal Gutter has 11.6M health solo, and 20.8M health in a group (with 4 DPS and 1 healer). That's less than double!
With a full group, you have 4 times the amount of damage in your group, and a healer, and the mob has less than double the health of a solo player. If you've seen numerous reports about how much easier things are in a group and how «faceroll» they are, this is one of the biggest reasons for it.
In a 5 man group, you can actually bring a healer! Brann healing is inconsistent and a lot of the time doesn't give you the healing when you need it. While solo, Mob white swings hit for anywhere from 500k to 1M and spammable casts (Web Bolt) can hit from 1M to 1.5M a pop. That's a lot of unavoidable extra damage. While damage goes up in a group similar to the Health Scaling, it doesn't scale linearly and you can opt to bring a healer to help offset this.
