Heartline has discovered how Rasha'nan's health works in Dawnbreaker and there are specific breakpoints that you want to hit!
We explain why you should always Lust phase 2 and what health percentage you should throw the final Arathi Bomb to ensure the second phase is as short as possible!
As a brief overview of the Rasha'nan encounter, there are two phases. She will leave Phase 1 and fly away after 6 Arathi Bombs have been thrown. After a brief intermission (that no one does as intended), she lands at Phase 2 then dies sometime after 60% health.
This «after 60% health» has confused a lot of players as sometimes she dies at 59.9% and sometimes at 59.1%. Why is this? Reddit user Heartline has made a large post on Reddit which goes over their findings!
Trying to explain this can be complicated, so we'll taking out a lot of the why and putting in how to benefit from this to start.
Here's the why.
When accounting for all 6 of the Arathi Bombs, this would leave Rasha'nan's health pool at 65.2% as each bomb does 5.8%. With Phase 1 ending when the final bomb impacts, any damage that occurs after you reach a breakpoint before the next one is completely wasted damage. For the final bomb, this means that you want to throw the final bomb as close to a .8% threshold as possible without being over.
If you're close to the next health breakpoint, you will want to hold the
