is not a small game, with several side missions that players can do along the way for extra story content to give players 40 to 50 hours of total gameplay. With all these side quests and special stories outside the main campaign, many players may wish to beat the final boss and then go back and do the extra content. That said, completing some of these side missions will also provide Mario and Luigi with a useful chance to level up some before that epic encounter at the end.
Alongside the main story in the game, Mario and Luigi get to know several of the individuals living in the world of Concordia. Despite the cataclysmic disaster happening in the world surrounding them all, there are many additional requests for the brothers' help. Some of these lead to useful rewards, and others include story elements that players would miss otherwise. Strengthening the bonds of friendship and love along the journey can be just as important as connecting the islands to the Uni-Tree after all.
It can be very tempting to focus on progressing the main story of but, sadly, after the final battle, there is no going back. The Mushroom Kingdom characters are all quickly taken out of the land of Concordia and sent back home, thereby putting a full stop on any unfinished business that Mario and Luigi had in the electricity-filled land.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership is an RPG with several twists and turns to its story, including some pretty big reveals and a villain who just won’t stop.
The only way to continue playing after the game is over would be to load from an earlier save file, from a time before Concordia was saved. Otherwise, players will have to start a new save file, but there is no New Game Plus mode or anything different about a fresh start with a new game simply because of having beaten it once. If someone wants to get 100% completion, they will need to do it before taking on the final boss.
