With the recent difficulty changes to The Pit of Artificers, players have been able to climb higher in this endgame content than ever before. However, one point of contention with The Pit remains the same — the current state of the Checkpoint system.
Every Diablo 4 player has experienced it — your Pit run is going smoothly, and then you get one shot by an enemy or mechanic you didn't see. Not a big deal, but once you click the Resurrect button, you're brought to the beginning of the dungeon! A commenter shared one way that this frustration can be mitigated, at least once a player has reached the Boss area.
That's right! By completely exploring the area to the south of the boss arena, players can update their checkpoint to this location! While this doesn't necessarily help when dying before the boss, this is still a great tip that can save players time in the long run.
Dying to The Pit boss without fully exploring the area to the south will cause players to respawn outside the boss room.
Fully exploring the area to the south of the boss arena will allow players to Resurrect within the boss room.
Note: Some players have suggested that this interaction could be dependent on The Pit's tileset, but in our testing, we were able to replicate this checkpoint update 100% of the time.
