Pretty much every time PlayStation announces a big event of some kind, chances are you'll find a Bloodborne fan joking about the chances of a remake/remaster showing up. Most of them - seemingly let down by countless big events and no announcements - often go in with absolutely no expectations that FromSoftware's forgotten child will finally make a reappearance. However, recent comments from God of War creator David Jaffe have fans readying themselves for another heaping of disappointment.
Earlier this month, Jaffe ended up kicking the beehive by claiming that he knows a Bloodborne remake/remaster is in development, but doesn't know when PlayStation plans to show it off. A few days later, it was announced that an hour-long PlayStation Showcase will take place next week on May 24, one that will showcase multiple first-party titles coming from PlayStation studios, as well as several third-party offerings.

With the two bits of news combined, Bloodborne fans are going into this year's PlayStation Showcase with a little more optimism than usual, especially considering its a fanbase that probably rivals only Hollow Knight: Silksong's in how many times it's been let down by false rumors already. You'll find multiple fans across both Reddit and Twitter getting cautiously excited for the show, busting out all the classic clown memes you come to expect from a fanbase familiar with disappointment.
