Soul Harvester is the new Affliction-Demonology Hero talent tree coming in The War Within and while the tree may seem a bit «passive» on the surface, there are a handful of relatively in-depth interactions that may change Affliction's gameplay heading into the new expansion. Demonic Soul is what the Soul Harvester talent tree builds upon, greatly empowering your Malefic Rapture by summoning a Demonic Soul whenever you proc a Succulent Soul based Soul Shard. This effect is also guaranteed for a 15 second duration every time that you cast Soul Rot, which is now a permanent 1 minute cooldown, due to the recent removal of Soul-Eater's Gluttony. Certain effects such as Shared Fate and Quietus can also spiral out of control very quickly, bringing with them an exceptionally strong amount of burst and priority funnel in a sense.
Keystone: Demonic Soul
As mentioned, Demonic Soul is the main ability in which the Soul Harvester tree builds upon. Demonic Soul causes a Demonic Entity to now inhabit your soul, at times causing random Soul Shards
