Hero talents continue to be the focal point of the new expansion of how classes are being iterated on. Due to the numbers not being even close to final, I want to mainly focus on what the talents do and their potential use case, along with my thoughts on the general design of the talents.
The last time I talked about hero talents was with Trickster, which I was very harsh on because the entire tree turned a core defensive talent, Feint, into an offensive CD. This tree, however, is an improvement in that aspect, but some people might take issue with how passive the talent tree is overall.
Core Concepts
The core concept of this tree is that your damaging finishers procs Hand of Fate, which flips a coin and, based on the head of the coin, gives you a stacking damage bonus. With the rest of the tree adding ways to weight the odds in your favor, and finally a capstone that once you land 7 of the same side in a row, gives you a permanent buff for the rest of combat and 10 seconds after.
