Archon Shadow Priest Overview
Coming with the release of The War Within Alpha, the Archon Hero Talent tree is a tree focused around Halo for both Shadow and Holy. This tree tries to find the thematic middle ground between a devout follower of the light and one who has been sanctioned by one greater than themselves to attain power beyond their stature. As an idea I love it, the fallen angel aesthetic that has always been tangentially related to pre Legion Shadow Priest is the perfect direction to take something that I had ultimately worried would be very difficult to create, a middle ground between a DPS and Healing spec who share almost nothing in common.
However, while the core concept feels solid the implementation leaves a lot to be desired which I will elaborate on further.
Talent Rundown
- Power Surge: Causes Halo to replicate once every 5 seconds for 10 seconds after being cast. This results in each cast of Halo summoning 3 Halo waves over the course of 15 seconds.
- Perfected Form: Damage during Dark Ascension is increased by 10%, damage during Void Eruption is increased by 15%.
- Resonant Energy: Enemies damaged by Halo
