Asobo Games has released a new patch for A Plague Tale: Requiem today, fixing a number of bugs and adding a long-awaited Performance Mode to the game. The patch is now live for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and PC players are getting a few more options with which to further customize their experience too. This Performance Mode is apparently more or less what one would expect from such a feature nowadays; it scales back graphical fidelity a bit in order to achieve a 60fps framerate and perhaps making the game look even better.

Fans playing the PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions are also getting some bug fixes today, which could leave Switch Cloud players feeling a bit left out. This will only be temporary though, because these same fixes will be heading to that platform sometime next week. Those unfamiliar with A Plague Tale: Requiem should absolutely make sure to check out our review for it and find out what’s up, as this game very easily could become a new favorite.
