NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card is about to get discontinued to make room for RTX 4060 Ti & will be getting huge price cuts.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was recently reported to hit the end of production and the last remaining stock is already being offloaded by AIB partners through various discounted deals and promos that are available across various retailers. Based on new information, it looks like NVIDIA partners are ready to offer huge discounts to clear away inventory.
According to MyDrivers, NVIDIA's AIB partners are slashing prices across the board for the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards. The previous prices for one particular high-end OC variant of the RTX 4060 Ti were 3199 RMB ($459 US) but that can now be bought for 2499 RMB ($359 US). The RTX 3060 Ti had an MSRP of $399 US with custom variants costing up to $100 US extra so this is already $40 US less than the US-MSRP.
This major price cut will also prompt AIBs to further drop prices for them to retain some form of competition and move their inventories too. Colorful has also been offering discounts but not as significant as GALAX. Their price cuts have been in the range of 15-100 RMB across multiple RTX & GTX mainstream cards. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti inventory is expected to clear out by the end of third quarter whereas the RTX 3060 graphics card should be sold by the end of 2023 but it should also dissappear from the retail channel entirely by 2024.
