Ubisoft Massive has had an open world Star Wars game in development for quite a while now, though details regarding the title have been thin on the ground so far. While we've had pretty much nothing in the way of explanation from official channels, there have been several reports, including one which claims Ubisoft Massive is aiming to include a "seamless universe" similar to No Man's Sky.
We now have a new report courtesy of Kotaku, which claims that this open world Star Wars game might launch a lot sooner than most of us probably expected. According to Kotaku's sources, the title is being developed under the codename Project Helix and that Ubisoft is planning for a launch at some point within the current fiscal year. That means we could see the game re-revealed and released within the next 11 months.

If you're thinking that's a pretty optimistic release window for Ubisoft Massive, then you're not the only one. These same sources have also claimed that development on the title hasn't been going too great, and that it's highly likely the title's release will slip into the next fiscal year, and will launch between April 2024 and March 2025.
If I was a betting man, I'd put all my money on this Star Wars game launching in the next fiscal year rather than the current one. Ubisoft has loads of big titles currently in development, including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Skull & Bones just to name a couple of the ones that aren't Assassin's Creed. It's difficult to imagine Ubisoft releasing a Star Wars game in the same time frame as those as well as Assassin's Creed Mirage, especially with the publisher's willingness to dish out delays these days.
