Diablo IV Story Launch Trailer Whets Appetites for the Eternal Conflict's Return
Diablo IV is coming, which you’re more than aware of unless you’ve been hiding somewhere. There are still a few orders of business, including the fresh release of the Diablo IV story launch trailer.
“Years after the events of Diablo III, millions have been slaughtered by the actions of the High Heavens and Burning Hells alike. In the power vacuum, a legendary name resurfaces: Lilith, daughter of Mephisto, the whispered progenitor of humanity. Her grip on Sanctuary cuts deep into the hearts of men and women alike, cultivating the worst in its denizens and leaving the world a dark, hopeless place.”
The scars are still felt all around Sanctuary, and conflict is still a part of life there. “Sanctuary has always been trapped amid the Eternal Conflict” goes the narration. Indeed, the region was born of the conflict itself, and a moment in that conflict between Inarius and Lilith. So, now what?
Well, the conflict between angels and demons is a start, and Lilith returns. This is not a secret, since she’s splashed all over promos and her return is a huge part of the story. She serves neither side, it is said, and clips of her early appearance in the first chapter, luring the loyal and then making promises of more.
On another side of things, Inarius is planning to take his loyal Knights to march on Hell.
Because that whole conflict thing is pretty important. So the trailer does its teasing best to get everyone excited for the next chapter in that Eternal Conflict.
