The side quest Fury Against Fate in Dry Steppes cannot be completed for many players despite trying multiple workarounds the community came up with. After speaking to Ealda and hearing their speech, many players followed the next quest objective and cleared the dungeon of all the cannibals, only to be surprised that the quest would not progress after that.
You will know that the quest progressed correctly if Ealda bellows a battle cry after their speech and rushes deeper into the cave with their followers. The community tried many things to work around the bug and get the NPCs to follow them, from resetting the dungeon, changing World Tiers, clearing the event which can occur outside of the dungeon, luring the cannibals to the NPCs at the cave entrance, and much more. Nothing worked as a reliable fix.
We investigated the bug ourselves and like many others determined that the culprit of the bug seems to be the «Gore-soaked Barricade». At the start of Ealda's speech, after talking to them, head deeper into the cave. If the «Gore-soaked Barricade» is not attackable, the quest will progress as intended with the NPCs rushing towards the barricade making it attackable again and letting you finish the quest.
