Blizzard has announced that the release date for Diablo 4 Season 1 will be announced next week.
We already knew that Diablo 4's first season would be kicking off somewhere next month, and Blizzard's General Manager "of all things Diablo" Rod Fergusson has now confirmed that the actual release date for the season will be announced next week. When questioned on Twitter about a new developer update, Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher initially said that more news will follow later this week.

Later on, Fergusson said that the release date for Season 1 will be announced next week. "You guys need to announce when will Season 1 start so people can plan their vacation leaves", a fan said on Twitter. "Announcing next week!", Fergusson replied.

Diablo 4's servers were down over the weekend due to DDOS attacks, after which Blizzard issued extended maintenance on both Monday and Tuesday. Following Tuesday's maintenance, Blizzard deployed a "big" patch for the most recent Diablo entry, packing buffs to classes and aspects. In addition, this update contained numerous fixes and improvements. In addition, this update greatly increased Nightmare dungeon experience.
