Blizzard has deployed yet another hotfix for the game's most recent patch - Diablo 4 patch 1.1.0 hotfix 3, and here's what it does.
Yesterday, during the Diablo 4 developer's campfire chat, the team talked about nightmare dungeons being too hard, especially high-level tiers beyond Tier 50. During the chat, a hotfix was promised that will address this. This hotfix is out now, and aside from this promised nerf to Nightmare dungeon difficulty, this update also packs various bug fixes. You'll find the official release notes for hotfix 3 on Blizzard's official forums.
"We are implementing a reduction to overall monster power levels in Nightmare dungeons", the team writes. "The new top range for tier 100 will feel like what tier 70 was previously."
An additional developer note clarifies that higher tiers haven't become easier than lower tiers. "Although these values make it appear that the higher tiers are easier than lower tiers, this is not the case because the monsters also benefit from being significantly higher level than players in higher Nightmare Dungeon tiers", the note reads.
The mentioned bug fixes include fixes for some dungeons as well as some fixes for Malignant Hearts. Additional stability improvements are also included with this hotfix.
As covered yesterday, Blizzard is already working on patch 1.1.1 which will buff Barbarians and Sorcerors. In addition, this patch will add a free stash tab for every character, and will greatly reduce respec costs. This new update is planned to be released in the coming weeks. We'll update you as soon as more information about patch 1.1.1 becomes available. Of course, we will also update you as soon as details about other patches come in.
