The enigmatic Glorbo has evolved beyond World of Warcraft, making his way into the online first-person shooter Destiny 2! Following the hilarity of last week's Glorbo bait, Redditors of the Destiny 2 community doubled down on the ruse by baiting AI web news site Techbriefly into publishing even more (now deleted) absurdity. Just like last time, we need to be abundantly clear that Glorbo isn't real. The character doesn't exist in WoW and hasn't made their way into Destiny 2, but all the AI knows is that it must be important if people are talking about it.
This quickly led to a new article citing a gamebreaking strategy with everyone's favorite inscrutable mystery. Much like Zleague before, Techbriefly regurgitates the popular Reddit post and many of its top-level comments to explain what seemingly has Redditors so excited. Complete with Destiny keywords like «Deepsight» and «vestiges,» as well as quotes regarding the success of the faux «Ghosts of the Deep» dungeon (not to mention the Quacken boss from the Duck Pond Easter egg), it would almost sound authentic if it weren't quite so incoherent.
Even the oddly phrased What is Destiny 2 secret boss Glorbo? section can't quite manage to explain whether Glorbo is supposed to be a boss, strategy, or both. At least I really hope it's written by AI... Once again, this just goes to highlight how inscrutable AI reporting can be, lacking any remote attempt at fact checking or even basic self awareness.
