While admittedly insufferable at times, an advantage that living, breathing video game journalists have over their relentless AI competitors is the fear of being wrong publicly, which is a powerful motivator for us fragile flesh bags. If you don't know what a Glorbo is, good, it means you passed the test.
«Glorbo» is the name given to a fictitious World of Warcraft feature which the community pretended to be excited about. The experiment began on Reddit, where the social experiment performed by the community tested the gullibility of AI news websites, which proceeded to fall for the gag, hook, line, and sinker. Now that you're up to date on your Glorbo lore, you, too, can spread misinformation, ideally regarding MMOs or those games adjacent, like Destiny 2. Guardians nobly answered the call, Glorboposting (credit again to IGN for that) up a ridiculous storm, and perhaps unsurprisingly, it wasn't long before Glorbo secret boss guides started cropping up online.
The worst/best part? Glorbo appears to have become self-perpetuating, spreading still further. Where will the beloved feature next rear its imaginary head? Keep an eye out for anything suspicious-looking in the comments section,

Apparently Glorbo has tricked human journalists into making articles about it as well.
@BeerIsAwesome nuh-uh, I chose to serve Glorbo
