American Horror Story is an anthology horror series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. So far, we’ve seen several concepts explored throughout the series, including a creepy asylum, a traveling freak show, a coven of witches, a haunted hotel, and the apocalypse. Now, viewers are excited for American Horror Story: Delicate, which brings a unique new concept as well. Here’s when it comes out.
Back in 2020, the series was renewed for 3 more seasons. Season 11: NYC arrived in 2022, and Season 12: Delicate was initially supposed to start streaming on August 1, 2023. However, the WGA Writers’ strike halted its production, and now it has been given a new release date. It is likely that the series will follow this slot. But with its production still not completed, the series might be halted mid-season or could get pushed entirely.
The latest season is the first to be based on source material, as it is inspired by Danielle Valentine’s new book Delicate Condition. The official synopsis of the novel reads:
“The Push meets The Silent Patient in a gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens — while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.”
The protagonist of the narrative is the actress Anna Alcott, who is sure that someone is attempting to prevent her from becoming a mother. Things change when she finally gets pregnant through IVF only to have a miscarriage. But, she still feels the baby moving inside of her, although no one believes her.
