One of the biggest releases of the year, Starfield, is days away from its full global release, with owners of its Premium and Constellation Editions already having had early access for a couple of days, and unsurprisingly, the excitement surrounding the space-faring RPG’s launch has resulted in increased hardware sales for Xbox as well.
As spotted by @PeterOvo5 on Twitter, driven by the looming launch of Starfield, Xbox Series X has seen a significant boost in sales on Amazon, climbing nearly 350 spots and enjoying a whopping 1,056 percent increase in sales.
In its early access period, the game itself has got off to an impressive start as well, having enjoyed a peak of over 230,000 concurrent players on Steam on the day of its early access release.
In our review of Starfield, we awarded it a score of 10/10, saying, “As unfathomably vast and boundless as the subject matter it covers, Starfield raises the bar for its genre and for the medium as a whole in countless ways – much like the best of its Bethesda-developed forebears did in their time.” Read the full review through here.
