Starfield Hits Over 313,000 Peak Concurrent Users on Steam, Surpassing Skyrim’s All-Time High
Starfield has got off to a flying start, having enjoyed the biggest launch ever for a Bethesda game with over 6 million players across all platforms on the day of its release. Unsurprisingly, the numbers have kept steadily climbing over the course of the weekend as well, as evidenced by its figures on Steam.
As per SteamDB, Starfield’s peak concurrent user count on Steam has now hit 313,993 players. In doing so, the space-faring RPG has also surpassed the highest ever concurrent user count for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, which stands at 287,411 players, by quite some margin.
It’s still currently a ways off the peak hit by Fallout 4, which was 472,962 concurrent players upon its release in 2015, though it’s also worth noting that Starfield is also available via Game Pass, which, of course, splits the player base.
On the day of its global release last week, Starfield saw a peak of over 1 million concurrent players across all platforms. Later that day, it was also announced that the game had attracted over 6 million players, becoming Bethesda’s biggest ever launch in the process.
