The Pokemon Company has revealed that a new Pokemon Presents is coming next week.
On Twitter, they shared this on the official Pokemon account:
“The next #PokemonPresents arrives soon, Trainers!
Tune in to our official YouTube channel at 6:00 a.m. PDT on August 8 for 35 minutes of Pokémon news and updates!”
There are no early reveals or leaks of what The Pokemon Company could be sharing on this event, aside from what they had last revealed in the last Nintendo Direct.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is set to receive some new DLC, called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. The Teal Mask, set in a local festival in Paldea, will be releasing in Fall 2023. The Indigo Disk, which looks like a more substantial story campaign set in state of the art Blueberry Academy, is coming in Winter 2023.
There really hasn’t been much shared about the DLC thus far, and The Pokemon Company usually is good at sharing quite a bit of the story and characters prior to release. So, we know more information about this DLC is on the way. This is a very good platform to share that information with the world, especially if the DLC ties up with the new and ongoing Pokemon anime, Pokemon Horizons: The Series.
There is, of course, always the possibility that Nintendo will reveal new Pokemon video games in this event. Albeit, they are more likely to be spinoffs than mainline games coming after Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
In terms of the spinoff Pokemon games, we do know that the long waited Detective Pikachu sequel is finally on the way too.
