The Command & Conquer series is preparing to introduce another mobile game. According to a release from Level Infinite in collaboration with Electronic Arts, Command & Conquer: Legions, the upcoming title, boasts a «reimagined storyline» with «endless strategic possibilities» that will incorporate «iconic heroes and villains, factions, and a vast array of units» from the series.
The release also reads: «In Command & Conquer: Legions, engage in real-time PVE and PVP battles against other factions as you collect Tiberium, a powerful resource brought to Earth that can either be used for technological advancement or to unleash destruction on enemies. On a large map shared with other commanders globally, you’ll be able to form strategic alliances of your choosing to coordinate attacks with your allies, share resources and strategize to outwit enemies.» Check out the trailer below.
Set to launch on iOS and Android this year, Command & Conquer: Legions will kick off a closed beta test on Android this month. This beta will be exclusively available in Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
Level Infinite, the publisher, has obtained licensing rights from EA, who owns the Command & Conquer franchise. Alongside Command & Conquer: Legions, Level Infinite is also currently developing Assassin's Creed Codename Jade, a mobile version of Assassin's Creed, and Song of Nunu, a spin-off originating from League of Legends.
