Diablo fans will be well aware that one of the biggest parts of the game is all about the grind. Each game has a host of rare drops for players to find, with only the most dedicated players willing to spend enough time to grab the rarest loot on offer. Diablo 4 is no exception, although there are a handful of items that the vast majority of players will never acquire, no matter how long they try to find them, and it's causing a stir amongst the Diablo faithful.
Earlier this month, the game's lead class designer Adam Jackson had to provide proof to fans that six of Diablo 4's rarest Unique items actually exist, giving us details on where to find them and which enemies will drop them. These items include the Doombringer, the Grandfather, the Ring of Starless Skies, Andariel's Visage, the Harlequin Crest, and the Melted Heart of Selig. However, they also preficed that these items are "realllly rare", which is proving to be the case, as only a handful of players have actually obtained one of these items since release.

As a result, the gear causes fairly frequent arguments amongst Diablo 4 fans over whether they should actually bother farming for these pieces of gear in the first place. A more recent example comes from the game's subreddit (thanks GamesRadar), as u/Shaka_Walls labels those target farming the items "ignorant of just how abstract the mathematics are on getting these items".
There are plenty in the thread that agree with u/Shaka_Walls's point of view, calling for the rates to be buffed, while others in the thread point out that the items aren't harming anyone and they're essentially just trophies for the most dedicated Diablo 4
