You don't have to be a top notch games industry analyst to know that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has probably made Nintendo a mountain of cash, having sold 10 million copies just three days after launch. Apart from that one reveal, the total sales figures for Tears of the Kingdom are currently a bit of a mystery, but we do know that it's physical sales are outselling other massive 2023 releases all on their own.
According to the latest data from Circana (thanks IGN), Tears of the Kingdom shot to second place on the 2023 best sellers list shortly after launch, only coming in second to Hogwarts Legacy. Granted, we still have half of 2023 left to go, with huge titles like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder still yet to be released, though they might struggle to match Tears of the Kingdom blow for blow. We also have games that don't have released dates just yet still to release, such as the next Call of Duty and EA
