Wargaming is previewing what’s coming up in World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends with updates from today into July.
With Independence Day in the US on the way, July is a natural fit for the American-themed content coming to World of Warships: Legends. There’s “Always Courageous”, a five-week long campaign with 100 milestones, new ships, bundles, a new seasonal Brawl, the Stellar Clash events, Popeye collaboration, and more on the way.
In today’s update is the arrival of Fleets in the console version (but not mobile just yet), which is the World of Warships version of guilds. Along with Fleets comes oil, a new resource that you can collect through winning battles and exchange for upgrades. Among the bonuses to unlock include lifting the member cap on a fleet from 20 to 40, a bonus to Commander XP, a discount on researchable ships, and more.
The American Independence Day content will roll out in stages. Event currency is calledImpendiumand you can get it via the campaign, in bundles, and the “A Fistful of Impendium” mission. Other event content includes a special port for fireworks, the Tier VIII cruiser Salem and Tier VII cruiser San Diego, and two random bundles to acquire.
In World of Warships on PC, update 12.5 brings back asymmetric battles in both Standard and Domination modes. So if you have Tier IX and X ships in your ports, this update is for you. These battles will grant more XP and credits than co-op battles but less than random battles. After data and feedback from last time, the team is back with an important change to know: the bots are smarter and more strategic this time around.
