BattleBit Remastered is a name we keep hearing in the whispered recesses of our minds, where games not officially announced for PlayStation eke a living in the shadows. But with the vaguest of hints it could be coming to console, we thought it was about time to educate ourselves and see what all the fuss was about.
A title currently in Steam Early Access, BattleBit Remastered is nonetheless racking-up rave reviews with both critics and users (Polygon called it the «second coming of Battlefield: Bad Company»), offering an engaging Battlefield-style first-person shooter alternative boiled down its essential elements. Wildly popular, it's currently the 11th most played game on Steam at the time of writing, just behind Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2/Warzone in terms of concurrents, but enjoying more players than both Rainbow Six: Siege and Destiny 2, which is an impressive feat for any game.
Low-poly, with a massive player count (256 in a server), it's only been out a month and already earned a dedicated, hardcore audience with the love and care that clearly shines through. It has also, apparently, generated a ginormous amount of cash for the trio of indie developers behind the project, which you always love to see.
Relayed by MP1st, the devs recently held an AMA on Reddit and verified BattleBit developer TheLiquidHorse collated the answers.
